Chambly Canal-Richelieu River

It has been a couple days with no data and we are in Chambly Quebec tonight. We left Rouses Pt. NY with a strong wind blowing and it hasn't really stopped. The temperature and humidity are both around 90 so we are melting again. It is hard to sleep in an oven and there is only relief for about two hours each morning. Anyway, the scenery and people have been great. We visited Forts Lennox, Saint Jean, and Chambly. The French, British, and Americans had been fighting over this land back and forth for years and thankfully we are all friends now! This is beautiful country and the towns on this side of the border are lively and fun, compared to the ghost towns in NY. I am attempting to learn a few words and phrases in French, to the amusement of Allison. I went to the cinema last night and watched Pirates of the Caribbean in French. No one else wanted to see it in French so I enjoyed all 2 1/2 hours inside an air conditioned theater! I furthered my French interest by attending a French ...
